FAQs

Who will work on my property?

For weekly maintenance we usually have a team of 2 or 3 employees. Depending on the size of the house we have 1 or 2 landscapers cutting the lawn and the remainder of the team supporting by weedwacking, blowing leaves, and picking up twigs and other foliage. For other jobs such as mulching or tree removals the size of the teams and numbers of trucks will vary. For under 7 yards of mulch you can expect a 2-3 man team. Anything over that you can expect a 4-6 man team.

Are you a licensed Landscaper?

Yes, we are licensed.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are insured.

How do you schedule your clients?

We schedule our clients by reaching out and setting up a time to visit the property and speak to the customer in person to have a good understanding of their vision. No estimates will be provided from pictures or simple descriptions.

What type of residential clients do you work for?

We work residential clients of all sizes. We have the equipment and manpower to handle any size property.

What type of return can I expect on my investment?

There is not much return on investment in our line of work because it mostly a maintenance that is for aesthetics. That being said with our service we will keep your lawn healthy. We will recommend when certain work should be done to prevent future problems with the lawn that will end up costing money.

What is the best day to have my property maintained?

Any day with little to no rain is optimal. Given that the maintenance is carried out weekly it does not matter what day of the week the lawn is maintained.

Do you catch or recycle the clippings?

Depending on the client we can catch clippings and dump on site for compost or we can remove from the property to take to an organic dump.

I don't want my landscaping done on the weekends, Can you accommodate me?

Yes, we have open spots during the week for weekly maintenance

I'm having an event or party, can you pay special attention at my property?

Yes. Clients can call, email, or text for requests or to schedule a job. I do advise giving us 1-2 days notice so we can plan everything and pick up materials.

What size mowers do you use?

We use 22,48 and 52 inch mowers.

At what height do you cut the lawn?

In the spring we try to keep the grass at 3 inches and in the summer we keep it at 4 inches to prevent the lawn from burning out.

How often do you sharpen your mower blades?

We sharpen our blades about every 3-4 days. We like to sharpen our blades after about 20 hours of use

How much water does my lawn need in the summer?

Your lawn needs 1 - 1 ½ inches of water. In the summer days I would recommend closer to 1 ½ and water in the evenings or early mornings.

Do you provide shrub pruning?

We provide pruning services and trimming services. We work closely with landscape designers that come on site and give us a schedule for the client's garden maintenance.

Do you provide commercial grounds maintenance service?

Yes, we have a couple of clients that are commercial such as condominiums, private associations, and multi family buildings.

What types of maintenance plans do you offer?

We provide weekly maintenance and bill monthly. We have some clients that pay us a monthly maintenance all year long and we include everything such as weeding, trimming, mulching, snow removal, weekly grass cut. We also have clients that just have the monthly grass cut and are charged separately for any extra work. We can make any custom plan to best fit the clients needs.

How can a well-landscaped home help to sell my home?

The first thing a home buyer will see when walked up to your house is the lawn and garden. Having it well kept will create a good first impression. Also new home owners already have a lot new expenses in their near future, having an extra expense to salvage a lawn or garden is one they will likely avoid!

How do plants and trees help?

Plant and tress will help prevent any flooding or pooling of water. Some shade during the long summer days will also help prevent the lawn from burning out from that stress.

How is a lawn helpful to the environment?

Lawns aren't very helpful to the environment. For anyone looking to make changes for environmental impacts I recommend creating garden beds or meadows. These types of landscape promote more wildlife to the property.

How much will it cost me to hire your company?

Depending on the size of the project or property cost will vary.

When and how should my shrubs be pruned?

Every shrub is different. Some flower at different times. You don't want to prune off the flowers you have been waiting all year to see! This is why we work with gardening experts that put together plans for our client's specific gardens.

Why should I have mulch on my property?

Mulch is most commonly used for weed prevention. The decomposition of mulch also helps create carbon dioxide and organic matter that promotes healthy soil. It is highly recommend to cover garden beds with leaf mulch from trees on the client's own property over the winter to increase the organic matter in the soils.

How about mulching annuals or perennials?

Mulch can be applied to any garden, one with annuals or perennials or both. It is important to not mulch directly on the plants. Give them some space from the mulch to prevent diseases from working their way up plants.

What type of mulch do you sell and install and what is the cost?

We install any mulch the client is looking for. Our most common mulches include sweat peat, cedar, hard wood, and mini pine bark nuggets.

Do you provide designs and estimates?

We work closely with designers that put together a plan for garden maintenance. This is shared with the customer so they know what needs to be done and so they know what we are doing when we arrive on site. They always have a copy for themselves to carry services with us or to use with another contractor. For lawn design we are always happy to advise on how to carry out maintenance after a project is complete

What is the warranty on installations?

There are no warranty's on most installation. Some trees and shrubs will have a 1 year warranty.

What can I expect to spend landscaping my entire property?

Pricing will vary on property size and condition of existing landscape
